     nile nash is Mama Lion!  nile is a midwife and a mama of two little boys.  nile offers in-home clinical postpartum midwifery care to hospital birthing families.  Her practice, Mama Lion, was born in 2005 when she started out as a DONA Certified Doula and Birthing From Within Mentor before attending UCSF’s MEPN Master’s program from 2007-2010 to become a Certified Nurse Midwife, an RN, a Board Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and to earn her Furnishing License.  Mama Lion Midwifery thrived as a homebirth practice for 9 years in the beautiful Bay Area.

The newest chapter of her calling as a midwife has focused nile’s professional role on the "fourth trimester" postpartum period. Mama Lion now cares for families who birth in the hospital but have the wisdom to set up a postpartum care plan.

nile is thrilled to be working with the Natural Resources family as a Core Facilitator, holding the New Mothers Circle and teaching Childbirth Preparation, Newborn Care and Parenting, and Car Seat Safety Basics.  nile is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Tehnician and does private car seat inspections and installations.
