Urban Arts Doula , Certified Postpartum Doula

Hello, I am glad you are here !

I am a certified Postpartum Doula living and working in San Francisco. As a lifelong artist, much of my time is spent in my studio weaving and painting. I have five children, each birthed with midwives attending. Years later I helped my daughter care for her babies and although the range of equipment available for new parents had changed, the experience of welcoming a new little one , along with the challenges, felt very familiar to me.

After taking a break from work I realized I was ready for a change, I enrolled in Cornerstone’s postpartum doula training and while I was studying I worked as a nanny for a newborn. Because most of my previous work was providing in home care, I feel comfortable working with all sorts of families and appreciate the differences.

My work as a doula is to give you time to rest, heal and bond with your baby, and to provide support for your family.
