Jennifer Loomis is an award-winning author, photographer, artist, entrepreneur, and educator known for her groundbreaking photography of the pregnant mother and has been credited with starting that genre in the mid-90s.
Jennifer has photographed more than four thousand women and their families from all over the world including celebrities, politicians, musicians, and Fortune 500 executives. Her photography has been published in numerous books and featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, Seattle Times, and on CNN, ABC, NPR and many others.
Jennifer holds a Master’s in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, School of Journalism. She was a Visual Communications Fellow and Faculty Member at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. Jennifer taught photography at the University of Missouri, the University of Washington, Seattle Central Community College, was a guest teacher at the Frye Art Museum’s Women and the Arts Program, and Julia Dean Workshops in Los Angeles.
Jennifer works with many clients for years building up a consistent body of work of their families starting with pregnancy. Photo walls of her work hang in households across the country.
