Having a child is one of the most monumental, exciting and life-changing experiences we can go through. It can also be a time of great anxiety, fear, stress and uncertainty. Whether you had an easy time conceiving or have been struggling with fertility issues and losses, feelings can come up that are complex, confusing and worth talking about.
Pregnancy loss is one of the most devastating experiences. Sadly, as common as pregnancy losses are, they are often not talked about and women enduring them can feel alone, ashamed, overwhelmed by their grief. Whether your loss occurred early on, later in pregnancy or during birth, your feelings are real, valid and need to be expressed.
Therapy postpartum can provide a space to process the birth (whether it was traumatic or relatively smooth), normalize the roller coaster of hormones and emotions, and help you transition into your new life and new role as a parent.
It is a tremendous honor to work with mamas during this sacred and potent time of life.
