Elma Aguilar- Postpartum Doula

As a Postpartum Doula, I am eager to support your family following the birth of your baby and have extensive experience caring for newborns. I understand that welcoming a new baby can be equally exciting and exhausting and I can tactfully support mothers through lactation/latch techniques/bottle feeding, mild meal preparation, and have guided new parents to ensure a smooth transition to parenthood.

I have served as a Postpartum Doula at Zuckerberg SFGH for approximately 2 years and I have also been a nanny to families of children ages 0-5 for over 10 years. Through these experiences, I have become quite skilled in baby handling, soothing, swaddling, as well as providing practical and emotional support to new parents. I have learned that each baby is unique and I am equipped to patiently identify the best ways to collaborate with your baby and your family.

I completed my Associate’s Degree in Biology from City College of San Francisco in 2021 and I’m in the process of applying to Registered Nursing programs in the months to come. Additionally, I am bilingual and speak fluent Spanish.
