Hello - Congratulations on your pregnancy or recent birth! My name is Amy Clark and I am a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC.) Before I became a lactation consultant in 2012, I worked in a variety of healthcare spaces as an RN- Public Health Nursing, Child/Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Acute Psychiatry and the Emergency Room/Trauma Nursing. As an IBCLC, I am committed to supporting your family in reaching your Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding/Lactation goals. My approach is an holistic one - I combine natural remedies, evidence-based guidelines and knowledge from clinical practice to guide you as a whole person in this endeavor.
Although lactation is a natural function, breastfeeding is not always an intuitive act. Learning something new takes education, patience and plenty of support! I offer un-biased, best practice guidelines so that your family is armed with the tools necessary to make the best decisions for yourself and your baby.

When looking for a Lactation Consultant, someone gave me Amy’s number and I called right away after trying some others. Amy immediately stood out from the rest. She was sweet, understanding, and offered advise and encouragement through the phone even though we had just met. She listened and was extremely caring. It was as if I was her daughter or sister!
I was able to ask her to come to our home to help us from here since I wanted her to see our setting, rocking chair, and tools. She immediately gave me a sense of peace and her expertise made me feel in good hands.
My baby girl had to learn how to transfer milk because she would not suck at all. I was terrified! Amy helped us achieve it. She taught us all types of breastfeeding positions and SNS options and she gave us all the tools and support we needed to get there.
As a Lactation Consultant, Amy becomes part of your family and takes her job quite seriously. She has gone above and beyond my expectations. She responds to my texts even today. She answers any question I have. (I was texting her at 2 am while pumping with tears on my eyes as a stressed mama trying to figure out how to get more milk supply). She would call me or text me back first thing in the am and walk me through different options. She also made sure to get to know my husband to ensure we were both involved in this process as much as possible. Also, she loved my doggie and was very happy to see her hanging out in my baby’s nursery as we were all learning.
I strongly recommend Amy. She is just wonderful and the reason why my daughter Penelope has benefited from breastfeeding. Amy is genuinely a good human being.
Breastfeeding is not easy and I hope that you find someone like Amy in your journey. I am writing this review with tears in my eyes because I could have not done it without her. She is an angel!!!
